Protection of the Rance dam.Using our Panorama solution to protect the maritime access of the dam.The Rance tidal power plant is a French power plant that draws its energy from the force of the tide. It is located in the Rance estuary, between the municipalities of La Richardais and Saint-Malo, in Ille-et-Vilaine, in the north-east of Brittany. With an installed capacity of 240 MW, it remained the largest tidal power plant in the world for 45 years, from its commissioning in 1966 until 4 August 2011, overtaken by the Sihwa Lake power plant in South Korea, slightly more powerful (254 MW installed)1.The dam also serves as a road bridge between Saint-Malo and Dinard.
